Can I drive in Colorado with an Ohio temporary license?
Q. I am 16 and have my temporary driver's license in Ohio, so that I can drive with an adult over 21 in the car. I am going to Denver on vacation, and want to know if it's legal for me to drive there. If you don't know, do you at least know where I could find the website for the Colorado Department (or Bureau) of Motor Vehicles?

can someone with a temporary license teach me how to drive?
Q. i live in texas and i just got my learners permit. my moms boyfriend has a temporary license. can he teach me? is it illegal for him to teach me? i just need someone to sit there while i drive around a parking lot.

A. You must have a fully licensed adult. If he's got a temp license, then not on the streets. You can learn in a parking lot without anyone at all. There is no age restriction on private property (public property is owned by the city, state, or federal government, private is owned by a person, or group of people who are not government). Have fun.

Can California Temporary driving license be renewed?
Q. I have a temp. CA driving license which I got on showing my country's driving license on passing the written exam. It says up front that it is not a permit. Can I get this renewed before it expires? And if so how long can I get it renewed for? A friend of mine went to renew but they refused him although the DMV I went to said I can get it renewed. This is already answered (vaguely) on Yahoo Answers, because my situation is tight I am asking again. Thanks

A. You do not need a licence to buy a car, just to drive one. You do not need a driver licence to insure a car, only if you want to be insured to drive it yourself. Many retirees who can no longer drive own and insure cars, and have family or friends take them shopping or to appointments. That way, they are comfortable in their own vehicles, and are also comfortable they are paying their own way. The non-driver old lady down the way from me kept her car insured for 10 years after her husband passed away, until she passed away herself. People regularly used her car to take her to town. Whether your temporary licence can be used for insurance for yourself really depends on the kind of temporary licence, and why you have one. It also… [cont.]

A. There can be a couple of different answers to your question. It all depends upon your age now. If you are over 18, and you have a taken the written test, you would be issued a permit to practice. Then the law states the following: "You have three chances to pass the driving test. If you fail, you may practice for a while, then make another appointment. There is no waiting period, but you must make an appointment. If you fail to successfully complete the driving test on the first attempt, you must pay a $6 fee for each additional driving test that is administered under an application for an original or renewal driver license." Now, if you are under 18, the procedure is different. The law for persons under 18 on this is as follows:… [cont.]

A. you'll want to bring your card: it's for identification. anyone could know your number but only you should have the card. i don't think that you'll need to take any tests again...it's just like renewing your license, but it's just a permit(i think that's the word you were looking for rather than temp?). along with having your permit for 6 months, you will have also needed to have a certain amount of time practicing driving during the day and night. unless you're over 21.
