A. I just downloaded iTunes for the first time and I'm having the same problem. I've been researching it online and it seems that this has been a problem for many people, not just us. I'm not sure what to do, since Starbucks is giving out a free iTunes download every day and now I can't get the one today.

A. this happens on iTunes v7.7 and newer. Its because Apple hasnt fully intergrated the names of songs and other such data into that version of iTunes because its still so new. It will take a while, but it will be fixed, however, if u want iTunes now, go to www.oldapps.com and download a version OLDER than v7.7. That will let you access iTunes Store. U might have to delete when ur done so it wont conflict with ur newer version, but u may not. If so, download it when u need to buy songs or download apps and such untill Apple fixes it. If it doenst conflict, only use it to acces iTunes Store.

A. It means that between your computer and the server you're downloading from, there's a problem. It could be that your computer has a problem, or it could be that the server has a problem. (Since you got the error message, I'd bet on the server or the path itself being the problem. Just try the download again.) (Especially tonight - many, many people are trying to get the New Year's celebrations on line, bringing the internet to its knees.)

"Network connection timed out" when logging into websites?
Q. I can get onto Yahoo Answers because i was already logged in. But if i were to log out and then try to get back on, it won't work! On my MacBook, on Safari it just says "Safari can't open the page ... because the server where this page is located isn't responding." On my PC (Windows XP) it says "The network connection timed out." I can go onto Facebook (or wahtever) but once I try to put my email, password, etc, in it doesn't work! This has been going on for days. We tried restarting the computers to no avail. Help!

Q. I'm trying to sample something from the iTunes store. It's worked before, but now I keep getting the message that it "could not complete my request". It's happening too often to be simply the server's problem. What's up with it?

A. Are you connected to the internet? Check the connection. If you do that, and it still doesn't work, try shutting down iTunes and then open it back up. If that doesn't work, try turning off your computer. Good luck!

iTunes Help ? Network Connection Time Out ?
Q. I'm using Windows Vista. I just updated to iTunes 9.1.1 . I tried signing in to my iTunes, and it's telling me, " iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again." I'm also on a laptop, so maybe it's the signal from my router ? What type of setting (if any) could be blocking me from accessing the iTunes store ???

A. Try again later, this frequently can happen when the itunes store is busy..retry every hour or 2 and if that fails, then check your network settings on your pc and your internet connection as well.
