10,000 Maniacs recommendations?
Q. I'm just now discovering them, thanks to some songs that came up on my Slacker portable player. I adore Natalie Merchant's voice ... and they sounded so unlike most of what came out in the '80s. Everything was so electronic back then, and they play real instruments ... with a lot of heart, it seems. Great music. So, any fans? And does anyone have recommendations on where to start?

A. If you like Natalie voice, try her solo stuff too. I believe she's just released a greatest hits CD. But Blind Man's Zoo is good for 10,000 Maniacs. PS...I love Slacker Radio.
